At The Copper House Tavern, you will feel warmly welcome to experience the true sensation of one the areas most historic restaurants. Enjoy a delectable meal from our expansive menu.

Copper House Tavern sets the stage for a new era in Somers, CT. Originally the Kibby Hotel, the building has long been a part of the Somers Historic District. Its Federal origin is evident in the splayed window lintels, the full-width portico in front gives the building more of a Greek Revival appearance. Stepping inside, the modern updates reflect a piece of the past.

Originally built in 1768, The Somers Inn began its service as a hotel and restaurant in 1804 as the Kibbe Hotel. Operated by the same family since 1978, the Somers Inn Restaurant ceased to offer lodging but continued to serve the public as a premier restaurant and banquet facility of choice for northeastern Hartford county.

Copper House Tavern is only a few short miles from the MA border and the town of East Longmeadow, MA, and about 10 miles east of Enfield, CT and connections to Interstate 91 between Hartford and Springfield. It is about a 30 minute drive to downtown Hartford, CT.
